WQB Mold Removal started the way most good local contracting outfits do: with a small crew that got tired of watching homeowners in Bloomington, MN get quoted twice for the same job by companies that vanished halfway through.
Every technician we send to a Bloomington property carries current IICRC-aligned training, a containment kit, and a moisture meter — not just a spray bottle and a smile.
WQB Mold Removal has passed inspection with Bloomington, MN environmental and health authorities on remediation protocol, and we keep that documentation on file for every job.
Our approach starts with a moisture map of the whole affected area, because treating one wall while an adjacent cavity keeps feeding the problem just means a return visit six months later.
Beyond the remediation itself, we can coordinate with your insurance adjuster and provide the paperwork most Bloomington, MN carriers expect for a mold-related claim.
Some of the worst colonization in Bloomington homes happens somewhere you'd never think to check.
A stale, damp smell that lingers even after cleaning usually means active growth somewhere behind drywall or under flooring. Candles and air fresheners might mask it for an afternoon, but the smell almost always returns by the next day.
Any Bloomington property with a prior roof leak, burst pipe, or flooding event is at higher risk if the drying wasn't done professionally. If a previous restoration job skipped moisture readings before closing the walls back up, hidden growth can sit undetected for months.
Sneezing, coughing, or headaches that improve when you leave the house and return when you're back inside are a classic mold indicator. A pattern of symptoms tied to one specific room in the house is often the strongest clue of all.
By the time spotting is visible on a painted wall, the growth has usually been active for weeks already. Don't assume a small visible patch means a small problem — the portion behind the drywall is often much larger.
Every job starts with an inspection, not a guess, so the scope of work matches what's really growing behind your walls.
Active flooding and sewage backups get priority scheduling since the mold clock starts ticking almost immediately. Extraction equipment and industrial dehumidifiers go in immediately to slow the moisture before it ever has a chance to seed a new colony.
We isolate the affected area with plastic sheeting and negative air pressure so spores don't spread to the rest of your Bloomington home during the work. We'll also flag any structural repair the job needs and put you in touch with a trusted Bloomington tradesperson if it's outside our scope.
Retail spaces, offices, and multi-unit buildings in Bloomington, MN often need remediation scheduled around business hours to limit disruption. Multi-tenant properties in Bloomington sometimes need coordinated notice to residents or staff, and our project leads handle that communication directly.
Air sampling and surface swabs identify exactly what species is present before we ever propose a treatment plan. A written inspection report is available for real estate transactions, refinancing, or your own peace of mind about a Bloomington property.
Vapor barriers, sump discharge lines, and vent placement all factor into why crawl spaces in Bloomington, MN grow mold even in homes that look fine upstairs. Encapsulation and sump correction can be bundled with the remediation itself so you're not paying for two separate visits.
Sealing, grading corrections, and ventilation upgrades often prevent the exact conditions that caused the original problem. A small investment in prevention is almost always cheaper than paying for the same remediation twice.
No surprises, no vague timelines — here's exactly what happens once you call +1-844-578-1604.
Tell our dispatcher what you're seeing and smelling, and we'll get a technician on the calendar, often same-day for Bloomington addresses. Have a rough sense of when the problem started if you can — it helps us plan the visit.
We walk the property with a moisture meter and, when needed, take air or surface samples for lab analysis. We point out exactly what we're seeing as we go, not just at the end.
Negative air machines keep spores from traveling to unaffected rooms while the work is underway. We keep the work area as clean and orderly as the job allows throughout.
A final clearance test confirms spore counts are back to normal before we consider the job finished. We'll also walk the space with you so nothing gets signed off without your input.
Our estimates are itemized line by line, which means you know exactly what you're paying for and why.
We keep a dedicated crew covering Bloomington, MN so response times don't balloon during peak humidity season.
Every job includes documented before-and-after testing, not just a verbal assurance that "it's handled."
Our promise is simple: if the treated area shows regrowth tied to our workmanship within the warranty period, we return and correct it free of charge.
We also try to be upfront about what we can't fix on day one — if a Bloomington home has an underlying roof or plumbing issue causing repeat moisture intrusion, we'll say so plainly instead of quietly re-treating the same spot every year.
Word of mouth is still how most of our Bloomington, MN customers find us, which tells you something about how the last job usually goes.
If regrowth tied to our workmanship shows up within the warranty window, we come back to your Bloomington property and fix it at no additional cost.

Answers to what Bloomington homeowners ask us most.
Most Bloomington calls get a technician on-site the same day, and active emergencies are prioritized ahead of routine inspections. If you're dealing with active water intrusion, mention that when you call so we can flag the job as urgent.
Yes — every job gets a flat-rate, itemized quote before any work begins, so there's no surprise invoice at the end. If we discover additional damage once we open a wall, we'll stop and get your approval before doing any extra work or adding any cost.
Emergency dispatch is available 24/7 for situations where waiting even a day could worsen the damage. Emergency visits include temporary containment to keep the problem from spreading while the full remediation plan is put together.
We collect air or surface samples and send them to an independent lab for species identification and spore-count analysis. Knowing the species matters because some, like Stachybotrys, call for stricter containment protocols than common surface mildew.
Coverage depends on your policy and the cause of the moisture, so we recommend calling your insurer, and we can supply documentation to support a claim. We're glad to speak directly with your adjuster if that helps move your Bloomington claim along faster.
A single bathroom or small closet can often be completed in a day, while larger crawl space or whole-home jobs may take three to five days. Drying time after water extraction can add a day or two before remediation itself even starts, depending on how saturated the materials were.
Anyone with asthma or mold sensitivities may want to arrange alternate accommodations during larger jobs, and we'll advise based on scope. We'll always tell you honestly if we think you should stay elsewhere rather than downplay it to keep the job simpler on our end.
Our containment and air scrubbing protocols are designed to protect the rest of the household while work is underway. Once we complete post-remediation testing and the numbers come back clean, the space is safe to use normally again.
Post-remediation testing confirms spore counts returned to normal, and our guarantee covers regrowth tied to our workmanship. We'll also give you practical advice on ventilation, dehumidifier use, or grading changes that can help prevent a repeat issue in your Bloomington property.
Our dispatcher can walk you through what an initial visit includes when you call to schedule. Even a phone consultation before scheduling can help you understand whether what you're seeing warrants a visit.
"Removal" implies eliminating all mold entirely, which isn't realistic since spores exist naturally everywhere, while "remediation" means returning spore levels to a normal, safe range. Any company promising 100% mold removal is stretching the truth, since outdoor and indoor air both naturally carry some spore count.
DIY treatment can also mask a problem temporarily, which sometimes delays proper remediation until the issue has spread further. Bleach also doesn't address whatever moisture condition allowed mold to grow in the first place, so the same spot often returns within weeks.
